Dr. Diana Matut is a lecturer at the Department of Jewish Studies at Halle-Wittenberg University and the co-editor of the European Journal of Jewish Studies (Brill). In addition to her academic career, she is a musician, leading the ensemble simkhat hanefesh which performs Jewish music from the Renaissance and Baroque (www.simkhat-hanefesh.com). She teaches every year at "Yiddish Summer Weimar", giving courses on Yiddish song for adults and children.
