Justin Steinberg is Full Professor of Italian at the University of Chicago and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Dante Studies.
He is the author ofAccounting for Dante: Urban Readers and Writers
in Late Medieval Italy (Notre Dame, 2007) and Dante and the Limits of the Law (Chicago, 2013), winner of the Modern Languages Association's Marraro Prize for Best Book in Italian Studies. He is currently writing a book about Boccaccio, law, and realism.
